Love God-Love People

Do you ever feel empty inside? Are you constantly striving for more, yet never have a true feeling of fullfillment? Do you find yourself saying, "There has to be more to life than this!"  Love is the answer. We are commanded to do two things; Love God and Love People. (Matt 22:36-40)

Love God- You cannot truly love God until you know God! God created us as relational beings. He longs to have a personal relationship with you. He made a way for us to have this personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:16) You may be asking, why the need for God to send His Son? The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Because of this sin, we cannot connect with a Holy God.  We needed someone to pay the price for that sin. A once and for all payment. Jesus was sent to earth, to make that payment. He did this so we could have the relationship God longs to have with us. (Romans 6:23) How do you make that step? How do you get that personal relationship with God? It is really very simple. There are three steps you need to take: confess that you realize you are a sinner, confess that you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the only way to pay for that sin, believe this sincerely in your heart as you cry out to God, and you will be whole and clean before God! (Romans 10:9-10)

Love People- The second greatest commandment was, Love People. Because of this love, we should want no less for others than this great gift we have received. Jesus commands us tell others about himself and the good news of being able to have a personal relationship with God! (Mark 16:15-16)
